The weather in Zamora
Zamora Cathedral is the oldest and smallest of the eleven that there are in Castilla y Leon. It was built on the remains of a small basilica dedicated to El Salvador. The works began in 1151 and ended in 1174, the speed with which they were made provoked that its Romanesque style was more unified than in other temples.
For this reason, it is one of the finest examples of Spanish Romanesque, although some reform after its construction has introduced some element of another style.
