The Museum Cement Rezola was inaugurated in the year 2000 in front of the cement plant of Cementos Rezola, a renovated building of the old school, in the district Añorga.
The Museum Cement Rezola is originated in order to increase the knowledge about the concrete industry as well as point out its social contribution and relate the cement with the citizens. Likewise also, the intention is to be a tribute to the founders of the company Cementos Rezola and to the persons who for a century and a half have helped make it to be one of the most important companies in the sector, in the whole country.

The Museum Cement Rezola is dedicated to the history of cement and its importance in civilization
The Museum Cemento Rezola consists about 300 square meters divided into three sections, the first seccion is the Auditorium which is attached to the main building where congresses, conferences or meetings on technical issues are held. The second seccion is the temporary exhibition hall, located under the glass dome and the center of the building.
The third area corresponds to the permanent exhibits hall that is located in a circular space where visitors will give a historical route about the use of cement and concrete. In the permanent exhibition the visitors will begin with an audiovisual presentation entitled “The World of Cement” where is projected the history of cement and concrete.

After that, the visitor can see the area where is explained the transformation of the cement and the whole process from the quarries until its use in their works. It will continue with the section on the applications of cement in engineering, architecture and art, emphasizing the close relationship of cement with the great works of engineering and architecture.
Subsequently the visitor will see the section dedicated to cement and the environment where will see the ratio of the cement companies with the environment . Its contribution to the environment by eliminating waste from other industries, transforming them into raw materials and alternative energy. Finally, the section on Rezola family and the hundreds of workers who have been through the company throughout its history.
The visit to the Museum Cemento Rezola can be made throughout the year except Mondays, Sundays and bank holidays.
