The Picasso Museum is located in the Palacio de Buenavista. It’s a Palace-Renaissance style residence dating from 1530. The Palacio de los Condes is a two-story building with an interior courtyard, after numerous reforms, the Picasso Museum was inaugurated in this building in the year 2003.

The Picasso Museum of Malaga responds a desire of the artist, by which his work was in the city where he was born.
The Picasso Museum has over 200 works on display of the different stages of the painter, different styles and different techniques that he applied.
In the rooms of the Picasso Museum we can see the painter’s works, ressembling various issues, like the artist’s relationship with the city where he was born, as his creative talent, such as the importance of painting in his closest circle.
Also reflects the importance as the creator of cubism and the invention of images. Furthermore gains relevance his way of seeing classic themes in the painting as portraits, still lifes, landscapes and nudes.
Moreover the relationship with great masters of inspiration and respect, we must also take into account the physically and mentally study of Pablo Ruiz Picasso.
The Picasso Museum in Malaga is open every day except Mondays and on January 1, January 6 and December 25.
